Ansel Appelton
Feature date(s): 12/05/2005
Ansel Appleton has lived in Massachusetts, Nova Scotia, and most recently the San Francscio bay area. Likened as "the Conor Oberst of spoken word", his delicate imagery and stripped-down delivery won him the rookie slam at the 2004 National Poetry Slam and carried him to finals stage at the 2005 Individual World Poetry Slam. His work alternates between trying to put more poetry into spoken word and putting more punk rock into slam.
