Amy Weaver

Amy, a 25-year-old from Dallas, TX, began reading poetry at open mikes four years ago. In that time she has published three chapbooks and released a CD entitled Naked . She also was a member of the 2001 Championship Dallas Slam Team, the alternate for the 2002 Dallas Slam Team, and a member of the 2003 and 2004 Dallas Slam Teams. She is known for being outspoken and direct, yet heartfelt. She has had the opportunity to perform and compete in a variety of cities throughout the U.S., including a feature performance at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC.
