Benjamin Hughes is:

A born citizen of San Francisco, who currently resides in the city of Cincinnati, Benjamin Hughes began writing in the fall of 1999 after attending an open mic. Since then, he has never looked back and has grafted his expression into a form that can move himself as well as others.

A determined artist, Benjamin Hughes has performed poetry on the same stage as Nikki Giovanni, Sonia Sanchez, and Susan Taylor and was a individual competitor in the 2003 National Poetry Slam in Chicago. He has published a book, performed his work throughout the United States and currently runs in the park, writes poetry, and takes long walks contemplating his next move.
