Magpie Ulysses

Magpie is: freshie faced and full of fertile-lap-dog-take-no-prisoners-lay-down-in-the-sunbeam-and-cry poetics. She is a current member of, and has been a past member of 3 Vancouver Poetry Slam teams (including Van deux which rocked CFSW 05 and won the flaming mic!) & has performed in cities and at festivals small and large across Canada and in the United states including 2 national poetry slams.

In her 'spare time', Magpie lives a life under the name Emily Campbell, where she works in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, British Columbia, sits on the board of the Vancouver poetry House, pushes poetry on unsuspecting highschool students, and whatever other debauchery she can get away with.
