Stephanie Renee

She likes to call herself Synthesis ...the amalgamation of distinct entities into a new, unique creation.

In actuality, Synthesis is more of a daily practice for Stephanie Renée than a moniker. Bringing different people, styles and skills together and improving them somehow is one of her special gifts. But by no means is it her only talent.

Throughout her early schooling and then as student at the University of Pennsylvania, Stephanie drew from diverse influences and injected her unique organic perspective into her forays in theater, vocal arranging, music production and performance poetry. The educational setting became Stephanie's proving ground, an environment that reviewed her work critically as much as it encouraged her, making the greatest challenge to achieving success her own desire to outdo herself. A self-confessed workoholic, Stephanie stays actively involved in the arts through an exhausting array of ventures. Currently, she is working on 2 full-length recorded projects - one a cappella and one with music - to be completed by year's end. She maintains a vigorous live performance schedule both as a solo artist and with her band MUSES WILD. You can find her voice featured on releases from Tonya Evans, Patti LaBelle and Jill Scott. And if you're in Philly on a Wednesday night, stop by The Groove and jam with her. No matter how varied or hectic her many projects are, Stephanie brings it all together and loves every minute of it.

Synthesis, indeed!
