Tony Brown & Faro

Tony Brown is a performance/slam poet based in Worcester, MA. He has ten chapbooks in circulation and has recently released a CD/chapbook of his work with Steven Cafaro, a talented electric bass player, in their performance duo, "Duende." He has read and performed all over the country, and his work has won awards and been anthologized and published many times.

He has been writing since he was in his early teens, and has a long history in poetry...too long, he sometimes thinks. He is proud to have been there among the earliest waves of slam poets and to have had the opportunity to perform with some of the greats, like Patricia Smith, Regie Gibson, Roger Bonair-Agard, and many more. In 2006, performed at the "Legends of Slam" showcase in Austin, TX at the National Poetry Slam.

Faro is a solo bass player/songwriter in Rhode Island. Currently he is traveling with Tony Brown.
